“When a contractor does a great job, on time, on budget, puts his heart into it by going the extra mile and checks-up on us, then that's the very best person you can contract with. And Todd Siegel is just that. I highly recommend him for any of your future UI/UX design & prototyping.”

Yannis Moati, CEO Hotels By Day

“Todd has been part of Tempo's UX Special Forces from early on and his seasoned eye for usability has helped us shape the product into what it is today. Designing mockups, creating prototypes and exploring various aspects and features of the application, Todd greatly impacted the direction of the product. As a mobile UX advisor for Tempo, we keep picking his creative mind to shape the future of Tempo!”

Thierry Donneau-Golencer , Head of Product, Tempo AI

"We needed a last minute interactive, rather complex app simulation for a major client presentation and were connected to Todd. Despite conducting the initial phone call on a crackly line from Italy (my own), Todd was a complete pro from the beginning and immediately got what we were going for. He always stayed ahead of schedule and was constantly reachable. He delivered above and beyond and was there for any last minute tweaks to the presentation. His work completely exceeded expectations, and we remain indebted to him for knocking the presentation out of the park.  Would recommend Todd without qualification."

J. Lachter, VP Strategy, Stealth Startup

"I had the good fortune to know Todd for several years since our initial work at Veeker. Todd is the right brain on steroids, he's incredibly creative and can provide very thoughtful insight into product UX and strategy. At Veeker, Todd helped us produce, create and execute our vision of video messaging. Since then, I've seen Todd follow his entrepreneurial endeavors in great strides; he's influential, connected, driven and has an uncanny understanding of Web trends and developments. I would absolutely enjoy working with Todd again."

Raj Singh, Serial Entrepreneur

"Todd is always thinking, ideating, and designing. He's a great brainstorming companion - he always has on-point, current ideas about where a product could go and what's needed. Plus he's a fun guy to work with. Hire him if you need a jumpstart on your product, or feel like you just haven't quite figured out the "ah ha" moment."

One tap to see all hotels for near here, today
Card UI for responsive web

Process

Product designed within the interactive animation prototyping tool (Proto.io) - then visual design refined in Sketch for outputing production assets. Not the other way around > starting in Sketch (static visual tool) and then exporting assets into the interactive animation tool.

Challenges

Client needed a high fidelity demo to pitch major client prospects to get buy-in before actual development - with an extremely tight deadline.
Translating evolving, amorphous product concept communication into a clear, impactful design and prototype.
Demo required the ability to drill down along a narrative in the prototype while changing directions to explore alternative inquiries.
Visualizing and animating thousands of faces that increment down into bar graphs of faces that individually flyout into a list.

Smart Calendar
Tempo AI smartly integrates relevant email content into your calendar to prepare you for meetings, while reducing app surfing by contextually integrating apps such as Maps, Linkedin, and Yelp - one-touch actions for ‘running late’ and ‘conference call access’.

But came late to focusing on the mobile app as the center of gravity, instead building a fully custom web based email app with more keyboard shortcuts - with usability that caused new users to throw up their arms. Ultimately, they went all-in on user research and built the right product, which users love. But now have no $ to keep evolving, so the team has dissolved.
